Quick answers about the site, travel planning, membership, and more, from Marti Kim Robin.

About this site

What is Marti Kim Robin?
Marti Kim Robin is a personal travel brand for people who want to travel with meaning. Expect honest stories, culture-first guides, and practical systems that make travel feel possible again.
What kind of traveler are you?
I'm a slow, culture-first traveler. I like everyday life details, local routines, and the small moments that don't always make it into typical itineraries.
Is this site only for Filipinos?
No. But I do write with a Filipino lens often, especially when it comes to budgets, pacing, and the realities of planning travel from home.
Do you share luxury travel?
Not really. I focus on accessible, grounded travel. No luxury flex, no "perfect life" performance.

Destinations, Guides & Trip Planning

Can you plan my trip for me?
I don't offer 1:1 trip planning through this site. What I can do is give you detailed guides, checklists, and practical notes so you can plan confidently.
Where should I start if I'm overwhelmed?
Start with one destination and one simple plan. Pick a guide on this site, then use the VIP Member Dashboard tools to map your trip in small steps.
Do you recommend tours?
Sometimes, especially for places where a guide adds safety, context, or cultural respect. When I recommend a tour or activity, it's because I believe it's a good fit, not because it's trendy.
Do you recommend travel insurance?
Yes, for most international trips. I'll share what I personally use (and why) inside relevant guides when it matters.
Do you share budgets?
Yes, when I can. Budgets are usually in PHP and written as a reference point, not a rule.

Membership & VIP Member Dashboard

What do I get when I become a member?
You'll get access to the VIP Member Dashboard, which includes: travel tools (itinerary planner, packing list, and more), exclusive content and member-only notes, download vault, saved stories, newsletter archive, and profile & preferences.
Is membership worth it if I don't travel often?
Yes, if you want to travel more intentionally when you do. Membership is less about "more trips" and more about building a calm system and a steady mindset.
Can I join now and cancel later?
Yes. You're in control. If it stops being helpful, you can cancel.
I'm not ready to become a member yet. What should I do?
Subscribe to the newsletter first. It's the softest way to stay close, get updates, and build your travel courage over time.

Newsletter

What do you send in the newsletter?
Short, grounded notes about travel with meaning, plus new posts, guides, and member resources. No spam. No pressure.
How often do you email?
I aim for a steady rhythm rather than a strict schedule. When I send something, it's because I have something useful (or honest) to share.

Partnerships, Affiliates & Work With Me

Do you accept brand partnerships?
Yes, if they fit the values here: culture-first, respectful, and genuinely useful to my readers.
Do you use affiliate links?
Sometimes. If you buy through an affiliate link, I may earn a small commission at no extra cost to you. I only recommend things I believe in.
Can you promote my business for free?
I'm glad you asked, but I don't do unpaid promotions. If you have something values-aligned, you can reach out with details and we can see if it's a fit.
Do you accept guest posts?
Sometimes, but only if it matches the tone and values of this site. If you want to pitch a topic, send a clear outline and why it helps this audience.

Content Use, Privacy & Permissions

Can I repost your blog posts or photos?
Please don't repost full posts or reuse photos without permission. If you want to share something, the best way is to link back to the original page and quote a short excerpt with credit.
Do you track my data?
This site may use basic analytics to understand what's helpful (like which pages get read most). I don't sell your personal data.

Contact

What's the best way to reach you?
Use the contact page on this site. If you're a brand or partner, include your company name, timeline, and what you're asking for.
My question isn't answered here. Can I still message you?
Yes. If you write, please include context (destination, dates, budget range, travel style) so I can reply more clearly.
